Fall Is in the Air

I was tired this week. I didn’t spend as much time reading or writing as I wanted to, but I still feel like I accomplished something every day, both at work and at home.

We’ve had cooler temperatures, mostly in the mid-80s. I brought my tomatoes and blackberry plant in on Monday night because we had a freeze warning!

While I was at work on Monday, we picked up the dirt I wanted for my raised garden beds. I’m still working on the pollinator garden!

The dirt came from a local distributor and it’s specifically formulated for raised garden beds. Now I need to decide if I want to plant something in the fall or wait for spring.

Tuesday: Sunny looked like I felt. Muscles I didn’t even know I had were sore from shoveling dirt from the trailer into the raised beds. It was mostly my arms, shoulders, and stomach muscles that felt the work.

I definitely noticed my lack of exercise over the past few months. I didn’t feel like going for walks in the smoky air or the 100º+ heat. I also got away from my habit of doing yoga videos after work.

Wednesday was kind of a weird day at work. It was also my “Friday,” and I was ready for my days off. Instead of writing or doing something more productive, I sat in front of YouTube and finished a loom-knit hat I’d started a few days before.

On Thursday I still wasn’t feeling very productive, so I put on a movie (Thor) and loom-knit myself some slippers. I have a lot of yarn to use up. There was just enough burgundy yarn for…
