Any one of those experiences would have taken a toll on our mental health, and you dealt with one after another. I'm glad you were both able to take the time and space that you needed and find relief. You're right that we all need each other and our human connections to survive. I'm just getting over Covid right now, and the 3 days I was stuck at home alone was hard. I can't imagine being afraid to come back out of the house to see friends and family.
